Water Polo Splits Two Games at Day Two of MPSF

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Diego State women's water polo team split a pair of games at day two of the MPSF Championships in San Jose, Calif.

San Diego State lost its first game of the day to Stanford, 9-6. Kelly Falcone led the Aztec offense, scoring three goals in the game. Curran Teigen turned in another spectacular performance with several key saves.

In game two, the Aztecs' held off the upset-minded Pacific Tigers to earn a 7-6 victory. Freshman Amber Prestegard tallied three scores followed by Larisa Baltgalvis with two goals and Kelly Falcone and Megan Dunbar with one apiece.

The Aztecs will face Long Beach State Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. to decide the fifth-place finisher of this year's tournament.
