SDSU Women's Golf Remains In Fourth Place At MWC Championship

SAN DIEGO -

The San Diego State women's golf team enters the final round of the Mountain West Conference Women's Golf Championship in fourth place. SDSU shot a score of 320 today at the Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George, Utah. After two rounds the Aztecs have a score of 635 and are six strokes behind Colorado State for third place. New Mexico took over the lead by carding a 308 in the second round for a 619 total.

Asa Jankler continues her solid play, following her 76 yesterday, she fired an 80 this afternoon. She is currently tied for sixth place with an overall score of 156. Sophomore Heather Rollo sunk an 81 in today's round and is tied for 12th place 78-81 (159). Freshman Jennifer Hoene shot the Aztecs' lowest score for the day, coming in with a 78, and moved into 14th place with an overall score of 82-78 (160). Senior Jill Janotta shot an 82 to go 161 after two rounds. Joanne Clingan scored an 81 and is tied for 20th with an 83-81 (164) improving her game by two strokes from yesterday's play.

The final 18-holes of the MWC Championship will be played tomorrow. Tee time is scheduled at 8:00 a.m. The Mountain West Conference will announce its women's golf all-conference team at the conclusion of the championship.
