SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's tennis team improved to 9-6 on the year with a 5-4 win over Brigham Young at the East Courts on Saturday.
The Aztecs suffered defeats at both the number one and two spots, but wins from Katja Karrento at the three, Lidsey Hedberg at the four, Katey Becker at the five and Julie Chidley at the six helped SDSU gain the upper hand following singles play.
Hedberg and Becker teamed to seal the SDSU victory at the number three doubles spot, handing BYU's Liza Khoudoiarova and Dominique Reynolds an 8-6 defeat.
The Aztecs return to action at 11 a.m. tomorrow when they host Oregon at the East Courts.
