SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's tennis team suffered a 7-2 loss to California at the Barnes Tennis Center on Friday.
The Aztecs (8-6) were not able to get anything going in either singles or doubles action, as the Bears won five of the six singles matches played and two of the three doubles matches.
SDSU's lone singles win came at the three hole, where Katja Karrento handed Cal's Karoline Borqerson a 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 defeat. The Aztecs' only doubles win also came at the number three spot, where Julie Chidley and Lindsey Hedberg edged the Bears' Jenny Lee and Emeka Hayes, 9-8.
SDSU returns to action when it hosts BYU at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the East Courts.
