Aztec Men's Tennis Comes Up Short to 16th-Ranked Fresno State

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's tennis team lost 4-3, to 16th-ranked Fresno State this afternoon in Fresno, Calif. Today's match puts the Aztecs 6-6 overall.

Alex Waske led the scarlet and black in the number one position, defeating Fresno State's 42nd-ranked Peter Luczak, 6-2, 6-3. Valentino Pest moved up to the No. 2 spot, from previous No.3, falling short to FSU's 25th ranked Olivier LeJeune, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. Oliver Maiberger and Travis Hasson also received victories.

Waske and Adam Webster teamed together for the only doubles win for the Aztecs. The two defeated the doubles team of Luczak/Mullins, 8-5, at the No. 1 spot.

SDSU's men's tennis team returns to the Aztec East Courts this Tuesday to take on No. 38 Texas Tech at 1:30 p.m.
