Men's Hoops Drops 12th Straight At Hands Of Wyoming

SAN DIEGO (AP) - Josh Davis scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Wyoming to a 71-57 victory over San Diego State on Saturday.

Davis made 8-of-11 field goals and blocked three shots as the Cowboys (15-10, 5-5 Mountain West) handed San Diego State its 12th straight loss.

The Aztecs (5-18, 0-10) haven't won since an 11-point victory over High Point Jan. 2nd. The losing streak is the San Diego State's longest since the 1991-92 team, which finished the season with a school-record 21 consecutive defeats.

Wyoming, which led 36-24 at halftime, took control with a 15-2 run early in the second half, and took its biggest lead at 51-28. Brett McFall and Chris McMillian started the run with three-pointers, and LaDarion Jones ended it with two baskets inside.

San Diego State cut the lead to 10 points on three occasions, the last at the 2:41 mark, but could not draw closer.

Jones finished with 15 points and eight rebounds, and Anthony Blakes added 12.

Myron Epps, who scored a career-high 32 points at Wyoming Jan. 29th, led San Diego State with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Marcelo Correa and Vincent Okotie scored 10 points apiece.
