Host San Diego State fell to Long Beach State, 6-0, in SDSU Tournament action.
Base hits were not hard to come by die SDSU, but the 49ers' defense was effective in stopping Aztec runners from reaching home.
Six different batters recorded hits for the Aztecs. Alexis Gutierrez, Sarah Hershman, Kellie Labor, Summer Ehrsam, Kellie Nordhagen and Tami Simpson all reached first base in the game.
The loss drops the Aztecs to 0-4 on the year.
