Aztecs Fall To Pacific, 74-63

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) - Sophomore forward Mike Hahn scored a career-high 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, powering Pacific to a 74-63 victory Saturday night over San Diego State.

Senior guard Clay McKnight made half of his eight 3-point attempts and scored 16 points for the Tigers, 5-7. Reserve guard David Abramowitz led the Aztecs, 5-8, with 12 points.

Freshman guard Tom Cockle scored six points as Pacific jumped to a 9-0 lead before the Aztecs rallied for an 18-17 advantage midway through the opening half.

Thereafter, it was all Pacific. The Tigers rode Hahn's eight points for a 23-13 stretch run that created a 40-31 halftime lead behind blistering 56 per cent shooting.

The trend continued early in the second half. When San Diego State pulled within three points with seven minutes to go. McKnight's two 3-point field goals helped to create a 12-point cushion.
