SDSU men's volleyball falls to No. 5 Southern California

San Diego - <>The San Diego State men?s volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to USC in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match on Friday at Peterson Gym. The loss is the Aztecs third in a row and their record now stands at 0-3 (0-3 MPSF).

SDSU was led by senior outside hitter Mike Szymanski with 21 kills and seven digs. Senior setter John Engstrom added 76 assists and Mike Koch had 17 kills and 10 digs for the Aztecs.

Freshman outside hitter Marcus Gilmour led the Trojans with 35 kills and setter Donald Suxho contributed 84 assists. USC is now 3-1 (1-0 MPSF).

The Aztecs will face Pepperdine University on Sunday at Peterson Gym. The match is set to begin at 5 p.m.
