Women's Volleyball Drops A 3-1 Decision To Utah

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's volleyball team dropped its second match in two days to the University of Utah, 3-1 (8-15, 15-6, 15-9, 15-0) to end their four-match home-stand at Peterson Gym. SDSU won the first game, but dropped the next three to bring their overall record to 10-14 and 3-7 in Mountain West Conference play.

The Aztecs were led by junior outside hitter Amy Hallquist with 13 kills and eight digs. Middle blocker Erin Grady added nine kills and finished with a .421 attack percentage. Sophomore setter Melissa Dickson had 27 assists for the match.

Utah was led by McKelle Stilson with 15 kills and Graciela Torres-Lopez added 38 assists. Utah's record now stands at 19-6 overall and 9-2 in the Mountain West Conference.

The Aztecs travel to Lamarie, Wyoming on Friday, November 12 to face the University of Wyoming. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m. (MST).
