Men's Soccer Drops 1-0 Decision To UNLV

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's soccer team failed to score for the fourth straight game, falling 1-0 to UNLV in a game played in Las Vegas Sunday afternoon.

With the loss, the Aztecs dropped to 4-13-0 on the season and 0-6-0 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. The Rebels upped their season mark to 7-10-0 (2-4-0 MPSF).

The winning goal came at the just after halftime when sophomore Tyler Turchi scored from the top right corner of the box after receiving a pass from teammate Tuomas Talvio. It was Turchi's first goal of the season.

Half of SDSU's 14 shots were on goal during the game, but the Aztecs couldn't put one past UNLV senior goalkeeper Ryan Bledsoe who had seven saves and recorded his first shutout of the season. Aztec freshman goalie Brian Barnes was credited with four saves on the day.

San Diego State continues soccer action this week when it travels to Berkeley to face California on Wednesday, November 3.
