Women's Volleyball Falls To Crosstown Rival USD

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's volleyball team had its six match winning streak snapped by the University of San Diego tonight. The Aztecs feel to crosstown rival USD, 3-0, (15-5, 15-3, 15-9) at the USD Sports Center. San Diego held SDSU to a .094 hitting percentage for the match.

Sophomore middle blocker Katie Magunson led the Aztecs, tallying nine kills, eight digs and three block assists. Junior Erin Grady chipped in with five kills and five block assists.

USD finished with three players in double-digits in kills, including outside hitter Adrian Frediani (15), outside hitter Petia Yanchulova (12) and middle blocker Debra Robertson (11).

SDSU's next match is at home when the Aztecs face former Western Athletic Conference foe Fresno State on Friday at Peterson Gym. Match time is at 7:00 p.m.
