No. 28 Men's Tennis Blanks Air Force, 7-0

SAN DIEGO - The No. 28 San Diego State men's tennis team shutout the Air Force Academy, 7-0, today at the SDSU East Courts. The Aztecs (4-0 overall, 3-0 Western Athletic Conference) won five out of the six singles matches in straight sets and handed the Falcons (7-2 overall) only their second loss of the season.

Junior Alex Waske, ranked 21st in the nation, bettered his singles record to 16-3 on the season with a 6-4, 6-3 victory at the No. 1 over Jason Anderson. Air Force's Nolan Cooper took senior Kolo Rosenthal to three sets, but Rosenthal won 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 2 spot. SDSU won the doubles point on Waske and Adam Webster's 8-3 win at the No. 1 spot over Anderson/Cooper and Rosenthal/Lay's 8-5 win at the No. 2 spot over DeAngelis and Doug Fike.
