SAN DIEGO -
The No. 27 ranked San Diego State women's tennis team (10-4 overall, 3-1) WAC) notched its fifth win in a row with a 9-0 victory over Colorado State University, today at the SDSU East Courts.
The Aztecs recorded straight set wins in five of their six singles matches and swept the doubles, including an 8-0 win by freshman Laura Aguero and Sarah Donovan at No. 3. Head Coach Peter Mattera mixed-up his lineup and senior Dorota Wozniak claimed her 11th win of the season and only her second playing at the No. 1 spot. Wozniak was taken to a third set by CSU's Alana Colglazier, but won 7-5, 2-6, 6-2. Junior Lisa Papi snapped a four match losing streak and picked up her first win of the season playing at No. 6 with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Allison Forrest.
The Aztecs return to action Monday, March 15 with a non-conference match against No. 40 Washington State at 2 p.m. at the SDSU East Courts.
