SAN DIEGO - Texas Christian struck for two runs in the first inning and went on to defeat San Diego State by a score of 8-2 in a game played Thursday afternoon in Fort Worth.
The win improved the Horned Frogs record to 16-13, and moved them into sole possession of first place in the WAC at 8-2, a half game ahead of Rice and San Jose State. The Aztecs dropped to 15-15 overall and 5-5 in the conference.
