AZTEC MEN GOLFERS TAKE THIRD AT FRESNO-LEXUS CLASSIC
The San Diego State men's golf team finished third at the 1998 Fresno-Lexus Classic today at Sunnyside Country Club Golf Course in Fresno, California, shooting an 11-over 875. The University of California won the tournament with a 9-under, 855.
Magnus Carlsson led the Aztecs with a 12th-place finish, shooting a 3-over, 219. Other SDSU finishers include, Scott Piercy in 14th (220), Paul Becker, 23rd (222) James Stewart, 26th (223), Kurt Cassidy, 31st (224) and Ryan Donovan, 65th (231).
San Diego State will compete in its last tournament of the fall on October 25-27 in Las Cruces, New Mexico at the Herb Wimberly/Coca Cola Classic.
