Aztecs Complete Season Sweep Against Tritons

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's volleyball team swept the season series against cross-town rival UC San Diego after defeating the Tritons on April 13, 3-0 (15-10, 15-5, 15-4). The loss drops the Tritons' MPSF conference record to 0-18 and improves the Aztecs' conference record to 3-15. SDSU was led by senior middle blocker Tom Hunter and junior outside hitter Sean Mackin. Hunter finished the night with a match-high 17 kills on 25 attempts (.520), two service aces and three block assists. Mackin recorded 10 kills on 17 attempts (.471), four digs and a match-high nine block assists. SDSU had 29 total blocks and registered a hitting percentage of .363 as a team on Wednesday night. The Red and Black have their last match of the season on Friday, April 16 at 7:00 p.m. in Peterson Gym. The Aztecs' Senior Night opponent will be #2 49ers of Long Beach State.
