2026-27 Aztec Club Game Day Internship

About this Internship: Under the direction of the Special Events Coordinator, the Aztec Club Game Day Intern assists with execution of events surrounding our Aztec Club members and staff. This position would help run our events such as football tailgates, basketball receptions, luncheons, banquets and other miscellaneous projects. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who take the initiative and take pride in their work and will provide top-level service for our loyal Aztec Club members. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and represent SDSU Athletics in a professional manner. This internship will be active between September 2026 and April 2027 with more optional involvement opportunities in May 2027.

You will be responsible for completing the following: 

  • Required to work a minimum of 1-2 Aztec Club Tailgates during the 2026 Aztec Football season
  • Majority of MBB Hospitality Events during the 2026-2027 Men’s Basketball Season 
  • Required to work a minimum of 1 other Aztec Club special event (not including a football game day tailgate or men’s basketball reception) such as luncheons, banquets or fundraisers. 
  • Help manage events associated with Aztec Football including game day tailgates, luncheons, banquets, etc. 
  • Help manage events associated with Aztec Men's Basketball including game days, luncheons, banquets, etc. 
  • Set-up and breakdown of event spaces, which may require heavy lifting. 
  • Assist event coordinator in managing event details surrounding registration, catering, entertainment, etc. 
  • Handle any issues and troubleshoot problems on event days. 
  • Be knowledgeable of all current and upcoming initiatives surrounding the Aztec Club and Aztec Athletics.
