Success at San Diego State has never been measured by a single season.

Over the past two decades, Aztec student-athletes have established a culture of excellence that has produced conference championships, national recognition, and some of the most successful programs in school history.

Across multiple sports, SDSU consistently competed for titles while building a reputation as one of the premier athletic departments in the Mountain West Conference.

SDSU has won more Mountain West Conference championships than any other member institution since joining the conference (only includes sports SDSU competes in).

The program's rise reached a national audience in 2023 when the Aztecs advanced to the National Championship Game. The historic run brought San Diego State to college basketball's biggest stage and represented the culmination of years of investment, development, and championship expectations. What had become routine inside the Mountain West was now being recognized across the country.

Championship success at San Diego State has never been confined to a single program. Across multiple sports, Aztec student-athletes have consistently competed for conference titles and national recognition, helping establish one of the strongest athletic traditions in the Mountain West.
