2022-23 Season

Was an All-Mountain West honorable mention selection in her lone year on The Mesa… Was one of two Aztecs to start all 34 games and averaged 9.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting a team-high 52.7 percent from the floor in 26.1 minutes per game… Was named SDSU’s Female Newcomer of the Year (across all sports)… In Mountain West play, averaged 10.4 points and shot 56.3 percent from the floor and scored in double-digits in 13 of SDSU’s 18 games… Scored a season-high 19 points on 7-for-9 shooting against Seattle (11-25-22) which helped her win Mountain West Player of the Week… Had three games where she made at least five field goals without a miss, including back-to-back games to start conference play… Had 19 games in double-digits, the second most on the team… Had SDSU’s most blocks in 19 games.

At TCU (2018-22)
Morris appeared in 107 games at TCU while making 23 starts… Averaged 4.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per game while shooting 45.8 percent from the floor and 75.4 percent from the line… As a senior, appeared in 28 games and made seven starts, averaging 5.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per game...In her junior year (2020-21) started 16 games and averaged 7.4 points, 4.5 rebounds while shooting 50.7 percent from the field and 87.2 percent from the line with a team-high 21 blocks… Scored a career-high 26 points against Incarnate Word… Was a two-time All-Big 12 Academic Second Team selection and graduated from TCU with a degree in fashion merchandising.

High School
Was a four-star prep prospect out of North Little Rock High School where she was ranked No. 74 in the nation by ESPN HoopGurlz… Helped her school win the 7A state championship as a sophomore and senior and make the championship game as a junior… Averaged 13.6 points and 11.2 rebounds as a senior and 14.5 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.4 blocks as a junior… Earned multiple All-State First Team honors.

Yo’Myris “Yummy” Morris was born in Detroit, Michigan… She is the adopted sister of current Aztec Alex Crain, who also transferred from TCU... Lists Lebron James as her favorite athlete… Working on masters in liberal arts and sciences... Aspires to own a clothing brand that represents the taller community.
