Redshirted last season after improving tremendously in the field from her freshman season to her second year ... Started 13 games in 28 appearances ... All 13 starts came at second base ... Had her first hit of the season against Oregon, breaking an 0-for-10 start ... After starting the season 1-for-12, she went 4-for-4 with a stolen base against Western Kentucky on Feb. 19 ... The four hits were a career high ... Had an RBI triple that led to SDSU[apos]s only run against Penn State on Feb. 20 ... Had a hit in back-to-back games versus Northern Illinois (March 9) and Buffalo (March 10) ... Improved her fielding percentage from .833 to .963 from her freshman season (2007) to her sophomore campaign (2008) ... Went her final 12 games without recording an error (last error was April 24 vs. Brigham Young) ... Set career highs in games started (55), at-bats (146), walks (15), times hit by pitch (1), sacrifice flies (4), sacrifice hits (9), putouts (124), assists (87) and fielding percentage (.963) ... Her four sacrifice flies were tied for 20th in the nation and the most since Kelly Bunker also had four in 1999 ... Had six game-winning RBI, tied with Tonye McCorkle for second on the team ... Game-winners came against Pacific (March 9), Texas A&M (March 15), Illinois (March 22), New Mexico (April 18), New Mexico (May 4) and UNLV (May 10) ... Batted .257 (18-for-70) the first 35 games (12th on the team), but came back to hit .418 (23-for-55) over the final 21 contests (tops on team) ... Earned all-MWC accolades after batting a team-best .404 (21-for-52) in league play ... Also led the team in conference games in doubles (5) and slugging percentage (.558) ... Overall, finished third on the team in runs (22), slugging percentage (.464) and triples (2), fourth in batting average (.328), RBI (21), on-base percentage (.370) and doubles (7), and fifth in stolen bases (7) ...
