SENIOR SEASON (2021)
Was listed as a “SDSU player to watch” by Lindy’s Sports ... Started two games and played in six overall ... Has three catches for 53 yards (17.7 avg.) with a long of 25 yards ... Started for the 17th time of his career in the opener with New Mexico State on Sept. 4, making a 24-yard catch ... Also had a 39-yard grab which was negated because of an Aztec holding penalty ... Played 29 snaps without making a catch in a start at Arizona on Sept. 11 ... Made a 4-yard catch in 34 offensive snaps off the bench against Utah on Sept. 18 ... Missed the Towson game because of an injury ... Also did not play against New Mexico on Oct. 9, at San José State on Oct. 15, at Air Force on Oct. 23 or against Fresno State on Oct. 30 ... Returned to play 16 offensive snaps off the bench at Hawai’i on Nov. 6 without making a catch ... Missed the Nevada game on Nov. 13,  UNLV game on Nov. 19 and Boise State game on Nov. 26 ... Returned to play 13 statless snaps against Utah State in the Mountain West Championship game on Dec. 4 ... JUNIOR SEASON (2020)
Was named a preseason fourth-team all-Mountain West performer by Athlon Sports ... College Football News listed him as “SDSU’s second-best offensive player” ... Had 13 catches for 122 yards (9.4 avg.) and two touchdowns in five starts (seven games played) on the season ... Started the opener with UNLV on Oct. 24, but did not make a catch, snapping his career-long stretch of 14 games with at least one reception ... Caught six passes for 64 yards (10.7 avg.) and a touchdown in a start at Utah State on Oct. 31 ... Recorded his first touchdown of the season and fifth of his career ... It was the second straight season that Smith scored against Utah State ... Had three catches for 26 yards (8.7 avg.) with a long of 23 yards in a start vs. San José State on Nov. 6 ... Came off the bench without recording a catch vs. Hawai’i on Nov. 14 ... Made two catches for 20 yards (10.0 avg.) with a 7-yard touchdown off the bench at Nevada on Nov. 21 ... Played in the team’s 13 games on the season, starting the final 10 contests ... Had 58 receptions for 691 yards (11.9 avg.) and four touchdowns ... Led SDSU in catches (58), yards (691) and touchdown catches (4) ... Ranked 10th in the Mountain West in receptions per game (4.46) ... Had four touchdown catches in 13 games, one more than the top Aztec receivers had all the previous season (Tim Wilson Jr. and Fred Trevillion, 3) ... Saw action in the opener with Weber State, making an 8-yard grab in 25 snaps off the bench ... Had a career game at UCLA, setting career highs with seven receptions, 131 yards and 18.7 catch average, while scoring his first career touchdown ... Became the 85th different 100-yard receiver in program history (325th occasion overall) ... Was named to the Pro Football Focus Mountain West Team of the Week for the first time of his career ... Played in 12 games at wide receiver, starting twice ... Had nine catches for 113 yards (12.6 avg.) with a long of 32 yards ... Came in for eight snaps in the opener at No. 13/13 Stanford, but did not record a stat ... Recorded his first career catch - a 5-yarder - in playing time (10 snaps) against Sacramento State ... Did not record a stat in three snaps against No. 23/25 Arizona State ... Had a career high two catches for 27 yards (13.5 avg.) with a long of 16 vs. Eastern Michigan, logging 11 offensive snaps ... Did not find the stat sheet in 14 snaps at rv/No. 24 Boise State, while fair catching punts after an earlier fumble by another player ... Had a key 32-yard catch on a third-and-5 late in the fourth quarter against Air Force ... SDSU eventually scored on the drive to hold onto a 21-17 victory ...
