CLOVIS, Calif. – San Diego State advanced five runners into the finals of their respective events on the first day of the 2025 Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships Thursday night at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, California.
Both Lauren Harper and Sophia Wolf advanced to the 800-meter finals on Saturday by taking fourth and fifth, respectively, in the prelims on Thursday. Harper came in fourth out of 23 entrants in 2:07.32, while Wolf was fifth in 2:07.60.
The Aztecs also moved two to the finals in the 200 as Shaquena Foote was fifth out of 29 in 23.41 and Laraigh Allen was eighth in 23.80.
Anna Mager was the final SDSU athlete to advance as she was sixth in the 400 hurdles in 1:01.52.
San Diego State has not scored a point through three of the 21 scoring events so far, but begins Friday’s action with the triple jump at 3 p.m. PT and ends with the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 8:20 p.m. PT.
