- SDSU falls at home for the first time this season and drops to 11-18-1 all-time vs. the Utes.
- With Vincent Brown's first-quarter TD, the Aztecs have scored a touchdown in 49 straight games.
- SDSU has scored 21 or more points in 12 straight outings. It is the team's longest such streak since a 14-game streak from Nov. 25, 1989 to Sept. 14, 1991 ... SDSU has scored a touchdown in the second quarter of a game in 11 of the last 12 outings.
- SDSU seniors DeMarco Sampson and Vincent Brown both went over the 1,000 mark in season receving yards tonight. It marks the first time since 2002, that the Aztecs have had two, 1,000-yard receivers in the same season, when J.R. Tolver (1,785 yards) and Kassim Osgood (1,552 yards) turned the trick ... It is the fourth time in SDSU Division I history that the Aztecs have had two 1,000-yard receivers in the same campaign (also 2002, 1995 and 1990) ... Sampson and Brown also both went over 100 yards receiving in the same game for the second time this season (also at Wyoming).
- SDSU's 90-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Lindley to Vincent Brown in the second half is the third-longest pass play in Aztec history and the team's longest overall since the school-record 97-yard pass from Kevin O'Connell to Chaz Schilens vs. TCU in 2007. The 90-yarder also ties as the third-longest in Mountain West Conference history.
- SDSU surpassed the 500-yard mark in total offense for the fourth time this season, the first time in conference play and the third time at Qualcomm Stadium. The 587 yards are a season-best ... The Aztecs posted a season-best in passing yardage (eclipsing the 400 and 500-yard mark for the first time) and in first downs in a game (prev. 24 vs. NMSU).
PLAYER NOTES
- Ryan Lindley, Junior QB: Started his 29th consecutive game, breaking the previous SDSU record of 28 in a row set by Billy Blanton from Oct. 15, 1994 to Nov. 28, 1996 ... Lindley has 34 career starts overall in his three-year Aztec career, missing only one start against Air Force back on Oct. 11, 2008, due to injury ... Moved into third in the Aztec record book in career passing TDs, surpassing Dennis Shaw, who had 58 from 1968-69 ... Posted his fifth 300-yard passing game of the season in the first half alone and the 11th of his career. His 11 career 300-yard passing efforts rank him fourth in SDSU history ... Also went over the 400-yard mark in passing yards for the third time in his career ... Went over the 3,000-yard mark in passing yardage for the second consecutive year. It is the 11th time an SDSU signalcaller has gone over 3,000 yards in a season and only the third time a player has done so in consecutive seasons, joining Billy Blanton in 1995-96 and Dan McGwire in 1989-90 ... Lindley's season passing total is a career-best, beating his previous high of 3,054 yards a year ago, and already is ninth-best in Aztec season history ... His 90-yard pass to Vincent Brown is the longest of his career (prev. 82 yards vs. Utah State in 2010) ... Set a career high for passing yards in a game with his first 500-yard effort, surpassing his previous best of 459 yards a year ago at Colorado State ... - DeMarco Sampson, Senior WR: Became the 18th player in school history to surpass the 1,000-yard mark in season receiving yards, doing so before teammate Vincent Brown in the first half ... It is the 20th time a SDSU player has gone over the 1,000 mark in season receiving yardage and the first time since Jeff Webb in 2005 ... Has caught a pass in 25 consecutive outings ... Recorded his fifth 100-yard receiving game of the season and sixth of his career ... His 12 catches are the most by an Aztec in a game this season and most overall since he had 15 catches vs. Colorado State in 2009.
- Vincent Brown, Senior WR: Also went over the 1,000-yard mark in season receiving yards tonight, becoming the 19th player in school history to reach that total ... It is the 21st time that an Aztec has reached the 1K mark overall ... Scored his 19th, 20th and 21st receiving touchdowns of his career ... Marks the second consecutive outing that he has two or more touchdown catches (also 2 at TCU) and it is his fifth career outing with multi-TDs, including three this year ... His three receiving TDs tie his career single-game best (also 3 vs. Idaho in 2008) ... His eight touchdown catches in 2010 are a career season-best (prev. 6 in 2009) ...
