2019 Collegiate Baseball Preaseson Third Team All-American

2018 (FRESHMAN):
Became the first SDSU player since Stephen Strasburg in 2007 to be named a Baseball America First Team Freshman All-American after setting SDSU’s single-season earned run average record with a 0.28 mark (minimum 30 IP)... Became the first freshman since Ty France in 2013 to earn Mountain West Championships Most Valuable Player honors... Hit a game-tying 2-RBI double in SDSU’s championship-clinching win over UNLV and pitched three innings of one-hit, shutout relief in SDSU’s extra-inning semi-final win over UNLV to earn his first collegiate win... Enters the 2019 season with 25.1 consecutive scoreless innings and 26 consecutive innings without allowing an earned run... Was one of two players in the country to have driven in 25 or more runs and have an ERA of 1.00 or lower (minimum 15 IP)... Also named a Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Freshman All-American... Recorded nine saves on the year -- all after April 2 -- to lead the country in saves after the start of April... Recorded a perfect 0.00 ERA against Mountain West opponents over 18.2 innings pitched and 10 appearances... Also held MW hitters to a .116 batting average (7-for-60)... Hit his first career home run on April 8 at Air Force... Recorded a season-high four hits at UNLV on March 24 including two doubles...  Named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week on April 16 after recording a pair of saves against Cal State Fullerton... Posted a season-high four strikeouts in two innings against Fresno State on April 20.

HIGH SCHOOL: 2017 graduate of Eastlake HS in Chula Vista, Calif… 2017 Rawlings-Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American… Perfect Game California All-Region First Team Selection… 2015 & 2016 Perfect Game Underclass High Honorable Mention… Ranked as the third best outfielder and 45th best overall 2017 player in California… Played summer and fall baseball for San Diego Show… Hit .500 as a junior with seven home runs while also serving as the team’s closer… Led Eastlake HS to CIF championship game for second year in a row in 2017.
