SAN DIEGO – The Aztec women's basketball team (14-15, 8-10) will be the No. 7 seed at this weekend's Mountain West Tournament and will square off against the No. 10 seed, Boise State (8-20, 4-13), in the first round Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
SDSU split their season series with Boise State. The Aztecs won 80-63 at home on Jan. 15 and then fell 68-57 in Boise on Feb. 9. This is SDSU's first time playing the Broncos in the Mountain West Tournament.
The Aztecs are 4-6 all-time in the first round of the Mountain West Tournament, 2-6 as the No. 7 seed and 2-0 when facing the No. 10 seed.
The winner of Sunday's game will face No. 2 New Mexico Monday at 6 p.m. in the quarterfinals.
Fans can purchase single session tickets for $20 or all-session tickets for $75. Masks and proof of vaccination are not required for fans to attend the 2022 Mountain West Basketball Championships. Masks are optional for all fans.
