FALL CLASSIC II - DOUBLES DRAW | FALL CLASSIC II - SINGLES DRAW

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's tennis team will close out its fall schedule this weekend as it plays host to the SDSU Fall Classic II. The three-day tournament will get underway on Friday morning at Aztec Tennis Center. Competition will conclude on Sunday for all participating teams.

The Aztecs will host eight schools this weekend including University of Colorado, UC Irvine, CSUN, University of San Diego, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Arizona and two fellow Mountain West member institutions; Fresno State and Air Force. Doubles will begin play each day at 9 a.m. with singles action immediately following.

San Diego State will look to build on success from earlier this fall. Senior Tami Nguyen advanced to the quarterfinal round of the singles draw at the ITA West Regional in October. Nguyen was the farthest advancing Aztec in the tournament. The senior combined with Jana Buth to reach the quarterfinal round of the doubles bracket at the regional.

Admission to the three-day event is free and fans are encouraged to park in PS 5 on the corner of 55th Street and Montezuma Road. Parking is $2 per hour and is always required in PS5. The Aztec Tennis Center is located just beyond Tony Gwynn Stadium, SDSU Softball Stadium and the Aztec Aquaplex on the northwest edge of campus.
