AZTEC STORY LINES
- San Diego State embarks on its third straight two-game weekend road trip with contests at Arizona State on Friday and UC Riverside on Sunday. The dates are the fifth and sixth of a current six-game stretch away from Montezuma Mesa.
- The Aztecs are unbeaten in their last two outings, posting a record of 1-0-1 after its 1-1 draw at Harvard last Friday and their 1-0 shutout of Dartmouth on Sunday. The two-game unbeaten streak is a season best.
- With the victory over Dartmouth, SDSU won its second road game of the season. The win surpasses last year's total when the Aztecs went 1-6-1 in road contests. SDSU is 2-1-1 on the road this season with a chance to add to its total against a pair of teams it beat in 2008 (def. ASU, 2-1, def. UCR, 3-1; both at home).
- Through six games and sporting a 3-2-1 record, San Diego State is ahead of last season's pace. One year ago, SDSU was 2-3-1 at the same point in the schedule.
- The Aztecs are wrapping up a season-long six-match road stretch. It is the longest so-called road trip since the 2000 campaign when San Diego State endured seven consecutive games away from campus. The 2009 Aztecs, 2-1-1 away from SDSU, are faring much better than that squad as it finished those seven games with a record of 1-6.
