Aztecs Open 10th Season of Mountain West Conference Play on Saturday Night at Air Force
San Diego State (10-3) begins its 10th season of Mountain West Conference play on Saturday night when it takes on Air Force (9-4) inside Clune Arena. Game time is set for 7 p.m. MT/6 p.m. PT and can be heard on AM 600 KOGO. There is no live television coverage for the event.

SDSU, winners of three straight, visits a place where it has lost five in a row and has not won since 2003. The Aztecs come into the game on a bit of a roll having posted three consecutive victories by double-digit margins and winning by an average of 21.7 points. Air Force, meanwhile, enters the conference opener having dropped a 67-64 decision to Stony Brook on Wednesday.

Game Tidbits:
* San Diego State is looking to match its best record after 14 games in the last 24 seasons. An 11-3 record would equal the Aztecs' best record at this point in the season since the 1984-85 squad opened 12-2.

* SDSU is in search of its second straight Mountain West Conference season-opening win and its sixth in the last seven seasons.

* San Diego State will be looking to reverse a disturbing trend on Saturday as it has won the first road game of an MWC campaign just three times in nine previous tries.

* On Saturday, Steve Fisher will be the only men's basketball head coach to have directed a program in all 10 seasons of Mountain West Conference action.

* A pair of San Diego State seniors are closing in on 1,000 points in their SDSU career. Kyle Spain enters Saturday's game with 936 points, while Lorrenzo Wade has 883 points in his Aztec career.
